How do I download a file?

You can download a file directly from its File Record Page. Downloading a file allows you to save the current version of the document to your device.

Downloading a file from the File Record Page

Steps

1. Open the File Record Page for the file you want to download.
2. In the Highlights panel, click Download.
3. Save the file to your device.

After the download completes, the file is available in the downloads folder on your device.

Important to know

• The Download action always downloads the current version of the file.
• Download availability depends on your permissions.
• The downloaded file is not locked or changed in Salesforce.
